10 Self Care Activities You Can Try This Valentine's Day

Learning to put yourself first sometimes can be a difficult lesson for us to learn. Often times, as Black Women we place ourselves last on our “to-do” list, always prioritizing the needs of others before our own.

Although there's beauty in having a servant's heart, we also have to realize that sometimes it’s okay to put ourselves first and to be a little selfish. Occasionally, we just need to make time to spoil ourselves, to connect with ourselves, and to shower ourselves with endless love.

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, why not use this as the perfect excuse to spoil yourself! Who says we need gifts or for someone else to take us out to make us happy? You know yourself best and you know what you like. Do something that brings you immense joy! It can be something as simple as a walk around the park or treating yourself to that handbag you’ve been eyeing for that past month. No matter how big or small, take some time to show yourself some TLC this weekend.
