Hahaha....right! Those words meant absolutely nothing to Black folks back in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was created and hardly holds a lot of value for us today.
It seems, the more that I grow and educate myself, the more I understand that these holidays weren't made for us. However, each year we go out and spend our hard earned money and patronize these companies who could care less about the plight of Black people.
But if we must conform and adapt, let's at least do it with some flavor!
