Indoor Smokeless Grill Review

Summer 2020 has been different different! Ha! The majority of us have missed out on summer vacations, beach days, and cookouts. I know I for sure have missed the smell of charcoal burning on the grill, making a to-go plate before anyone notices, and dancing to "Before I Let Go" at the end of a cookout....the Maze ft. Franke Beverly version that is lol. Memories that I will never forget nor take for granted.

As Husbae and I are still settling into our new home, we have decided to move slowly when making big purchases. Shop around, sit on it for a while, then agree on whatever we want, together. One of our main wish list items is an outdoor grill. Right now we are still unpacking and renovating, so spending time and money on finding the perfect grill isn’t a priority for us. As an alternate option, we decided to purchase an indoor grill. I choose the Starfrit The Rock Indoor Smokeless BBQ Grill from Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

The Starfrit The Rock Indoor Smokeless BBQ Grill is an electric grill that you can use in your own kitchen without charcoal or gas. This grill comes with four pieces, a grill plate, a removable drip tray, a cool touch base, and a temperature control dial (highest temperature is 450℉). To use, simply assemble to pieces together and plug into an outlet.

For my first time trying out my new indoor grill, I opted to make grilled cajun catfish with grilled zucchini and squash on the side. To complete this meal, my total cook time was about an hour. However, for a family of two, I feel the grill plate is a decent size. I was able to fit three large catfish fillets on the grill plate at the same time.

Overall, I would rate the Starfrit The Rock Indoor Smokeless BBQ Grill 4 out of 5 stars. I was thoroughly impressed with how the grill did produce “smokeless smoke” and actually char my food. Both the catfish and vegetables were juicy and tender. The zucchini and squash even had a crisp to it. My only gripe with this product is the cleanup. Since this is not dishwasher safe, while manually cleaning the parts, you have to ensure you don’t accidentally get too much water on electrical areas. Also, I really wish that it had a lid or cover with it.

If you have space to add a new gadget to your kitchen, I would highly suggest checking out the Starfrit The Rock Indoor Smokeless BBQ Grill. It’s super affordable and retails for only $49.99 at BedBath&Beyond! And yes, you can apply coupons to this purchase!

Don’t let 2020 ruin your summer fun. If you can’t enjoy your cookout outside, bring it on in! Here’s a list of other indoor grills you can check out!
